ASSISTANT SCHEME MANAGER –Raleigh Park,Nottingham - DERWENT FM VACANCY
Salary £25k per annum
37 hours per week including occasional weekend and evening work
Situated in a vibrant student and mixed use neighbourhood Raleigh Park offers a full service student accommodation with an excellent reputation and is the preferred accommodation partner for the University of Nottingham. We currently offer accommodation to 1200 students, both Post Graduate and undergraduate, for students from a variety of international locations. Raleigh Park is located a short walk from the attractions and services of Nottingham City centre, and has shopping facilities located adjacent to site.
There’s high demand for our student accommodation schemes and the role of managing them has just as many demands. You’ll need a commercial focus in this competitive market to promote the schemes and maximise their occupancy. You’ll be a natural at communication with students to provide excellent customer care and delivered services. You will support the Scheme Manager in making sure the sites are fully staffed and efficiently run.
Key Achievement Areas
- To ensure that accurate information is easily accessible to all those who enquire about the association’s student accommodation services
- To effectively market and allocate the accommodation in line with the Company’s policy.
- To organise open days / events and to be involved in there implementation.
- To complete all administrative paperwork relating to new tenancies.
- To be responsible for the collection of rental income, recovery of arrears and liaising with the Debt Co-ordinator
- To update all relevant computer records, property and tenant database systems, as appropriate.
- To maintain accurate information in relation to performance targets.
- To provide appropriate advice and support to customers in paying any monies owed to the Association
- To provide and maintain adequate statistical information to the Scheme Manager
- To achieve all targets set for performance in debt recovery, by the Scheme Manager
- To make recommendations for improvements to service and delivery to the Scheme Manager
- To deliver continuously improving standards of service delivery and related tenancy services in all areas of operation with internal and external customers
- To undertake a proactive approach to create a safe environment and a thriving student community
- To be an advocate for residents ensuring they have access to all relevant service areas.
- To manage a complex portfolio of tenancy issues and providing appropriate support and advice.
- To work in partnership with external agencies and Universities to gain access to relevant service areas.
- To work effectively with other colleagues to achieve the objectives of the Corporate Goals.
- To respond to emergencies, both during and out of working hours, in a professional and diligent manner.
- To ensure petty cash and banking procedures are adhered to and audited as per Association regulations
A full driving license is essential and the successful candidate will be required to complete a Criminal Records Disclosure check.

SITE REPRESENTATIVE – The Trigon,Sheffield – DERWENT FM VACANCY
Salary £17,500.00 per annum
37 hours per week
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to assist our present team in ensuring the student accommodation is ready for occupancy within set timescales. Assisting in the delivery of front line services and maintaining a high level of presentation for every aspect of the development.
BRIEF JOB SUMMARY
- To take a proactive approach to ensure that the developments are maintained to specified standards. Assisting with the maintenance of the building and building fabric, including repairs and redecoration as required.
- To ensure that properties are available for allocation within set timeframes.
- To actively promote the accommodation to prospective customers and assist our open days
- To work effectively with other colleagues to achieve the objectives of the Corporate Goals.
Job Knowledge:
- Good repair skills.
- Basic understanding of constructional techniques.
Experience
- Good organisational skills
- Minimum of a Basic knowledge of DIY
- IT literacy
- Working and communicating with the general public
Qualifications
- Good general standard of education.
- BTEC ONC/OND in Building Studies or related subject and/or Practical Building Experience.
- Due to the nature of the services provided, annual leave is restricted during business critical months that are determined by customer demand and are usually during the months of August and September.
- You will also be responsible for providing the emergency call out for designated sites agreed with your Line Manager.
No role profile can be entirely comprehensive and the jobholder will be expected to adapt and carry out such other duties as may be required from time to time, on the understanding that they will be within the individual’s remit and capability, and consistent with the status and responsibilities of the role within the Association.
