Derwent Living began life in 1964 as a Housing Association providing homes for people in the East Midlands. It has since grown and now operates throughout the East & West Midlands and South Yorkshire.

Derwent Living currently manages 2,828 properties for affordable rent, 1,068 market rent and key worker, 422 shared ownership, 241 leasehold/shared ownership for the elderly and 1672 purpose built flats for students.

For sale

Derwent Living offers a number of properties for sale. These range from houses in small towns to apartments on the edge of thriving cities. All are unfurnished but many have fitted kitchens, appliances and security features. To search for our available rented properties click on the "search properties" button on the right hand side, select your area of the country from the map and the choices you would like to make. Be sure to click the "for sale" button as an option. You'll then get a list of properties available in your area and to your chosen criteria.

For rent

Derwent Living has many properties for rent. Some of these are for affordable rent (see affordable rent for more information).

The rest of our rented properties are available to all. We offer a range of properties from houses in small towns to apartments on the edge of thriving cities. Easy Living

Through our Easy Living scheme Derwent Living is offering you the chance to own your own property outright or to select the Part Purchase option instead. The choice is yours. Visit our "For sale" properties or our "Part Purchase" properties for details of what is available or simply select "Easy Living" to give you both options.

Part Purchase

The ideal way to get onto the property ladder, simply buy 50% of the property and rent the remaining 50%. This keeps your monthly payments down. In future you can gradually increase the percentage you own until you finally own 100%. Our properties under this category are all brand new sometimes city apartments or brand new houses within a new estate.

Student living

Derwent Living student accommodation is located at many key University towns and cities including Nottingham, Derby, Loughborough, Leicester and Coventry. Our accommodation ranges from renovated old buildings to brand new purpose built student villages. All are conveniently located close to the Universities they serve and within easy reach of the town or city facilities.

For Retirement

Our retirement housing schemes comprise self contained apartments, studio flats and bungalows on carefully planned sites. Our accommodation aims to fill the gap between totally independent living and residential care. All accommodation has a 24hr Central Control alarm link and most schemes have a Resident Manager. Offering an active social environment, our accommodation is available for rent, lease or part purchase.

Keyworker

Derwent Living manages all accommodation for NHS staff at the Queen's Medical Centre in Nottingham. We also manage the accommodation at Southern Derbyshire Acute Hospital NHS Trust and are working with Nottingham City Hospital on a brand new apartment village for December 2005. Derwent Living also provides accommodation for workers at Toyota in Derby.

Affordable housing

Our affordable housing properties range from small studio flats to large family houses from city centres to villages. All are built and maintained to high standards and allocated via a points based system. Rents are below market level aimed at people with a housing need on a low income.
