Chief Executive

Peter McCormack
I joined Derwent Living as Chief Executive in March 2008. My role is to work closely with the Board and Executive team to provide overall strategic direction for the Group and to oversee the performance of the organisation in all its facets. I recognise the unique blend Derwent offers: a true social business with its social and community functions supported by a thriving commercial sector. My aim is to build on the successful foundations laid by my predecessor so that Derwent Living continues to make a positive impact on people’s lives.

"I have worked for Derwent Living since 1982 and currently have responsibility for most of the functions which support the frontline service teams of the organisation. These include Human Resources; Information & Communications Technology; Marketing Communications; Business Improvement and Legal Services. In addition I'm also the Company Secretary."

John Magness - Operations Director
"Derwent Living offers a full range of tenure solutions from affordable rented, market rental, student accommodation, shared ownership and outright sale. The Operations team for which I am responsible deals with answering and directing calls and visitors to the organisation, allocating properties, managing homes, providing repairs, income recovery, dealing with anti-social behaviour, community development and involving customers in our business. Having joined the company in June 2007 I would like to contribute towards delivering exceptional levels of customer service irrespective of the tenure of the home in which our customers live."

Steve McDonough - Commercial Director
"I joined Derwent Living in April 2005. I am responsible for more than 4,000 bed spaces with Derwent Living's student accommodation. I also oversee our residential lettings and homes for part purchase - ensuring that our properties are continually let and well maintained. I would like Derwent Living to be number one in the Midlands with a reputation for being the best provider of quality accommodation."
