A new short film about Derwent Living’s domestic violence refuge in Derby is now available. The documentary features interviews with former residents about their experiences before and after joining the refuge as well as colleagues who work at the refuge day-to-day.

The refuge provides support to women and their children in response to their diverse needs in an environment which is physically and emotionally safe. The centre helps to empower women and to increase their self worth, enabling women and their children to move forward to a new beginning.
