How does it work
The property will be offered on the basis of a 12 month Assured Shorthold Tenancy. You have the opportunity to rent a property at a extremely competitive rent for a period of time up to 3 years.
The rent is very competitive as it is set at 80% of that achievable in the open market. The rent will be increased annually in line with the Retail Price Index.
On each anniversary of living in your home you will have the opportunity to purchase the property at an agreed price. To help, you will receive a discount of 2% on the share you purchase, for each complete year you have been in occupation. Just as long as you do not breach your tenancy agreement.
The maximum discount available is 6% on the share you purchase on the third anniversary.
After 3 years, if you don’t take up the opportunity to buy, we would look to place the accommodation on the open market for sale through our Easy Living part-buy, part-rent programme. You may remain in the property until such time as a sale is agreed.
