What to do if you suspect a bogus caller is visiting your property.

Derwent Living has received a number of reports from customers of bogus callers visiting properties claiming to work for the organisation. The visitors often claim to be in the area to carry out surveying or other investigatory work in order to access and asses properties. In reality criminals often use this access to see how easy it is to break in, carry out distraction burglaries or commit fraud.

We would like to remind customers that Derwent Living staff members and contractors always carry identification cards with details of who they work for.

No ID, no access

If in doubt about someone's identity who is claiming to work for Derwent Living, always ask to examine their identification card. If you are still unsure, do not allow the person access to your property, lock your door and contact Derwent Living.

Call our customer service team on 01332 346 477.

If you believe you are witnessing a crime or attempted crime, always call the Police on 999.

If no identification can be produced, never let someone into your home.
