Can you dig it?

The gardening competition is back! After a brief break, Derwent Living’s customer engagement team will be holding a gardening competition again, and residents of all tenures are encouraged to take part.

It doesn’t matter where you live, or how big or small your garden is: all that matters is that you’re proud of it and want to share it with us!

It could be a large lawn surrounded by flower beds, a paved area with gnomes and plant pots or even just a hanging basket outside your front door. It can also be a communal garden which you help maintain, or simply some potted plants to brighten up your balcony.

Judging will take place in September, with the winners announced in the autumn issue of Derwent Life magazine.

Customer engagement manager, Mitch Allseybrook, is looking forward to seeing people’s entries and has already booked his place on the judging panel. He said:

“We have so many residents who take great pride in their private and communal gardens, such as Karen Bladon, who appeared in a previous edition of Derwent Life to show us her charming outdoor escape.

“Gardening is great fun and really therapeutic, whatever your age. We want to encourage people to get planting, digging and composting this year, and our panel of judges is looking forward to receiving entries over the summer.”

The deadline for entries is 31st August 2018 and all photos should be sent to or sent by post to:
