Welcome to this online edition of Derwent Life. We’ve decided not to do a printed edition this year because of local restrictions and lockdowns. We also didn’t want to increase the number of deliveries to customer homes.
2020 has of course been a very difficult year, with the pandemic limiting our contact with friends and family. This can have a negative impact on our mental health - but there are practical things we can all do to keep positive. To help, we've created a list of useful apps and online tools.
Even though this edition of Derwent Life is just online this time, it’s still jam-packed with great customer stories including the winner of the David Proud award, our Readers’ Lives feature and the 2020 garden competition winners. There’s news on our Virtual Places project which won a national TPAS award back in the autumn and a brand spanking new column from Claire, one of our customers, on how to save money on bills and other household costs. We’ve also just published our Christmas closure times.
So, sit back and enjoy this online edition and have a safe, healthy and happy Christmas and New Year. We’ll be back in print in 2021.
