The first of our roadshows to raise awareness of the government’s changes to the benefits system took place in Littleover this morning. Staff are visiting sites across the East Midlands to help residents understand welfare reforms including the bedroom tax, universal credit and the benefits cap. Some residents found that they could be £25 per week worse off.
The roadshows continue this afternoon at Stepping Close and Adler Court.
Tomorrow’s roadshows are at 10.30 a.m. at Southwell Close, Kirkby-in-Ashfield, 12.30 p.m. at Rugby Avenue, Alfreton and 2.00 p.m. at Dale Park Avenue, Kilburn.

Anyone wanting to discuss the benefits changes and to look at the options for them is encouraged to call us as soon as possible.
