Last week Derwent Living’s resident scrutiny team and the independent complaints panel both picked up a gong at the Customer Scrutiny Inspection (CSI) awards. The awards celebrates best practices in tenant scrutiny and were held in Liverpool.

The scrutiny team will probably be quite familiar to other residents; they’ve been working tirelessly over a number of years to help facilitate effective co-regulation with the board, something the Regulator takes really seriously. The team took home Most Inspiring Scrutiny Panel – Traditional Housing Association.

The complaints panel is a joint venture with Gedling Homes and Tuntum Housing.  This is actually pretty innovative in the housing sector, which was a big part of why they won the award for Most Inspiring Designated Panel – Complaints.  Being a joint venture means it can be more independent and deliver an unbiased verdict whenever someone needs their services. It also helps spread the costs for all three associations, which demonstrates excellent value for money.

Derwent Living are proud to have won these awards, which speak volumes about the hard work and dedication of our customer groups.  They’ve given up many hours of their time to work with us on reviewing and improving the services we provide, which really makes a difference for all of our customers. We’re really happy that this has been recognised at a national level.
