The next Derby City Mutual Exchange Service “speed dating” style event is on Saturday 19 October at the Council House in Derby. It runs from 10.00 a.m. until 1.00 p.m.

It is a chance for tenants to find a suitable person to swap their home with whether they want to upsize or downsize. Those taking part will have more chance of finding someone who wants to swap with them if they are there from the beginning.

DMeX is a partnership of social landlords in Derby and Derbyshire. Our aim is to make it easy for customers to swap their home by giving them more chances to find a match they like.

This event should be a lot sleeker than the last one, thanks to customer feedback. We’re hoping to make registration simpler and quicker. We’re also going to provide more advice on swapping, moving and Derby Homefinder, as well as having more resources on the day to help people find a match and the home they want.

People can save themselves time on the day by pre-registering here DMeX 19 October

There is also general advice on mutual exchanges, often called home swaps here Swapping your home
