Since joining the Places for People Group, talks have been taking place regarding maintenance services currently provided by contractors Liberty Maintenance and Greenfingers.
Some customers may know that Places for People offer their own in-house property maintenance and grounds maintenance services, which Derwent Living can use now it is part of the group.
Following negotiations, Derwent Living has taken the decision to use these in-house services and will begin switching across the contracts in the coming months. Using these services will enable Derwent Living to continue to deliver a high-quality service to customers while maintaining a clear focus on value for money.
The current grounds maintenance contract, delivered by Greenfingers, ends on 31 March 2017. Places for People will deliver the contract from 1 April onwards. Places for People will hold the 2016 prices, meaning there will be no price review for the grounds maintenance service in 2017.
Derwent Living and repairs contractor, Liberty Maintenance, have mutually agreed to end the repairs contract at the five year review stage. The contract will come to an end on Wednesday 28 June 2017.
We will be working with Places for People’s in-house Property Maintenance Division (PMD) over the next few months to ensure there is a smooth transition across to the new provider, who will take over on Thursday 29 June 2017. We will be working with customers over the next few months to help shape the service and will let you know how you can have your say.
We would like to thank both Liberty and Greenfingers for their dedication and hard work during our partnerships over the last few years, and wish their businesses every success in the future.
