Water good idea!

A new initiative to help customers save money and water.

Derwent Living, in partnership with Cenergist and Severn Trent Water, is helping residents change the way they think about water consumption in the home.

On average, each person in the UK uses around 150 litres of water every single day. For example, taking a shower uses roughly 50 litres of water, while the washing machine can use around 55 litres of water. Flushing the toilet can take anything between 6 to 10 litres of water, while filling the bath uses, on average, a staggering 115 litres of water!

The Water Saving Programme has already been successfully implemented in places like Northumbria and Manchester, helping thousands of households save money by installing water saving devices and providing advice on cutting water usage.

And now Derwent Living is taking part, with those customers in eligible properties being contacted in the coming weeks and months. The scheme is completely free, with no cost to Derwent Living or residents.

Delivery began at the end of May and will take around 8 months to complete.

Cenergist will be the first point of contact for residents with any complaints or enquiries regarding the service and has pledged to visit properties within 48 hours, to deal with any faulty devices reported by residents.
